The solar panels are waterproof, scratch resistant, and UV resistant. They use a high efficiency monocrystalline cell.
The two panels operate independently to generate up to 2.70 watts of power. This is enough to charge most portable consumer electronics (other than laptop computers). See typical charging times listed below.
Inside the battery pack is a 3,400mAh Li Ion battery.The battery pack can be recharged using the solar panels in the bag, the included AC travel charger, or the car charger. Which means it is just as useful in the city as it is traveling or camping.
